High School

Students and parents are encouraged to study the Omaha Public Schools graduation requirements listed below and plan a program of study to make certain all graduation requirements are met. Students need to set high goals and take full advantage of the academic opportunities available to them during high school.

These are minimum graduation requirements, and students are encouraged to take more than the minimum. It is important for students to set up Personal Learning Plans that emcompass their academic, educational, and career goals. Read the individual high school course guides to become more familiar with course work needed to prepare for post-secondary educational and career opportunities. Grade Level Promotion Requirements - High School

High school students should earn approximately 14-16 credits per year to achieve satisfactory academic progress toward graduation. To be promoted to the next grade level students must meet grade level promotion requirements.
